Compiere is an
Open
Source (Mozilla license) ERP/CRM solution for small and medium enterprises,
individual companies, distribution chains, outlets of manufacturers and franchises.
Compiere is written in Java. It has a multi-tier architecture and runs on an Oracle
database. It has built in support for multiple languages,
multiple currencies and multiple organizations. It can be run on an
in-house server or as an hosted solution for global access.
Compiere can be customized,
or configured, without programming. It was designed to make it easy to extend and add new modules.
It is currently available for the distribution, retail and
service industries. There is a basic functionality for materials
management and manufacturing planning.
